History

Established in 2004, the Faculty of Commercial Sciences included the Departments of Information Security Technology, Information Systems and Technologies, Electronic Commerce and Management, Tourism Management, International Finance, Logistics Management, International Trade and Management, International Transportation Systems, and Management Information Systems.

The Faculty of Commercial Sciences, which continued its education and training activities with 9 departments until 2022, was restructured as the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences with the Presidential decree numbered 5919 published in the Official Gazette dated 04 August 2022 and numbered 31913.

At present, the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences comprises the Information Systems and Technologies Department, the Management Information Systems Department, the Information Security Technology Department and the Software Development Department.

The Departments of Electronic Commerce and Management, Tourism Management, International Finance, Logistics Management, International Trade and Management, and International Transportation Systems are currently within the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

The Information Systems and Technologies Department commenced education in 2001, the Management Information Systems Department commenced in 2008, and the Information Security Technology Department and Software Development Department commenced in 2019.
